Sleepy Hollow — The Legend of the Headless Horseman

With Johnny Depp and Christina Ricci. A film by Tim Burton (Batman, Planet of the Apes).

In 1799, in a remote New England village, three mysterious murders were committed in less than two weeks: the victims were found decapitated. Terrified, the inhabitants attribute these killings to a fearsome headless horseman. Ichabod Crane (Johnny Depp), a New York police officer with highly controversial investigative methods, travels to the scene to solve this enigma. Upon his arrival, he succumbs to the strange charm of the beautiful Katrina Van Tassel (Christina Ricci)… Legend or simple revenge, what is one to believe?

Tim Burton offers us a cruel and intelligent tale in the purest gothic tradition.
