Dead Heat — High-Stakes Bet

An ex-cop with nothing left to lose. A small-time crook with everything to gain. Starring Kiefer Sutherland (24, Dark City), Anthony LaPaglia (Without a Trace, Lantana) and Radha Mitchell (Phone Booth, Pitch Black). A film by Mark Malone.

At 43, Boston cop Pally LaMarr is forced to end his career for health reasons. To pull him out of the depression looming over him, his half-brother Ray, a small-time crook, suggests he invest $3,000 in buying a promising racehorse. And Pally finds himself dragged against his will into a dirty business where the mafia is pulling the strings… An action thriller not devoid of humor, a gripping tale of a very high-stakes bet.
