Albino Alligator – A film by Kevin Spacey (1996)

With Matt Dillon, Viggo Mortensen, Faye Dunaway, Gary Sinise, M. Emmet Walsh, Joe Mantegna, William Fichtner, John Spencer

While they believe they are pulling off the perfect heist, Dova, Milo, and Law trigger the alarm system. The three men manage to escape and find refuge in a bar. Very quickly, the place is besieged by the police. Hunted down and out of options, the gangsters take five hostages. Hidden behind this strange name is a famous pool tactic: sacrificing one or more balls to make the opponent believe they have the advantage. This calculated sacrifice has no purpose other than to manipulate the other person to better defeat them later.
